Equilibrium explores the intersection of scientific experimentation and self-care through an abstract visual lens. Guided by the Algal palette from the Viewpoint Colour 2022 forecast, the project reflects on the chemical modification of mass-produced food and hygiene products, questioning the purity of what we consume.

Influenced by macro themes of globalisation and environmental decline, the series examines how sustainability and self-care coexist within a system driven by mass production. Through abstract interior and food styling, Equilibrium presents a narrative of “scientific self-care” — where experimentation becomes both critique and commentary.

Ultimately, the work asks: in a world shaped by synthetic intervention, does true organic purity still exist?
